Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says 21 of the state’s 72 counties are now considered to have a “critically high” spread of the COVID-19 virus. Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Waupaca and Waushara counties are among those with “critically high” levels. The other 51 counties have “very high” levels of the coronavirus. The DHS also reports 90.5 percent of hospital beds across the state are in use and 93.5 percent of beds in Intensive Care Units are filled. The state reported 2,806 new cases Wednesday and 17 more deaths.
Winnebago County reported 72 new COVID-19 cases yesterday and 1 death. Eighty-six new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 38 new cases and 1 death. Green Lake County reported 29 new cases, Waupaca County had 16 new cases and Waushara County recorded 24 new cases of the coronavirus and 1 death.
