State health officials say vaccinations against the COVID-19 virus slowed down last week with 46,740 people receiving the vaccine. That’s the lowest amount for one week since the end of July. The Department of Health Services says 53.5 percent of the state’s total population has completed their series of vaccines. Meanwhile the number of new cases increased by 5,983 since Friday with 18 more deaths reported and 221 people hospitalized since last Friday.
Winnebago County Monday reported 193 new COVID-19 cases. Fond du Lac County recorded 163 new cases since last Friday and is nearing 15,000 total cases. Dodge County had 128 new cases and 2 deaths, Green Lake County 21 new cases, Waupaca County recorded 57 new cases, and Waushara County had 16 new cases of the coronavirus.
