For a second straight day Wisconsin had more than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases. The state’s Department of Health Services says 3,436 tests came back positive for the coronavirus Thursday. That pushed the 7-day rolling average for new cases to 2,110. Fifteen more deaths were also reported putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 7,806 lives lost. The state also reported 119 more hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 1,066 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state with 322 of those patients in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 150 new COVID-19 cases yesterday and 2 more deaths. Fond du Lac County recorded 102 new cases and Dodge County had 58 new cases and 2 deaths. Green Lake County reported 14 new coronavirus cases Thursday, Waupaca County had 30 new cases and 1 death, and Waushara County recorded 12 new cases.
