Tuesday was a deadly day for COVID-19 in Wisconsin as the Department of Health Services reported 33 deaths attributed to the virus bringing the death toll during the pandemic to 7,549 lives lost. The DHS also received 2,170 positive tests for the virus pushing the 7-day average for new cases to 1,369 cases. The total of new hospital admissions was 286 the most in a single day in the state since November 10th of last year.

Winnebago County reported 130 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday. Thirty-five new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 22 new cases. Green Lake County reported 23 new cases and 1 death, and Waupaca and Waushara counties both reported 13 new cases each.
