Wisconsin passed another tragic milestone during the pandemic when the death toll Thursday reached over 7,500 lives lost. With four more deaths the state has now seen 7,503 deaths from COVID-19. Another 113 people were also hospitalized, it was the third day in a row that new hospitalizations surpassed 100 and the first time that’s happened since the end of last December. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 712 people in hospitals around the state due to the coronavirus with 222 of those patients in ICU units.
Winnebago County Thursday reported 41 new COVID-19 cases and 1 death. Twenty-five new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and 21 new cases in Dodge County. Green Lake County had 2 new cases, Waupaca County 6 new cases and Waushara County 9 new cases.
