This week Wisconsin could reach 6 million total COVID-19 vaccinations given to state and out-of-state residents. Last Friday the state finally reached half the population completing vaccination against the coronavirus. The Department of Health Services says 2.9 million residents or 50.1 percent of the state’s population are now completely vaccinated with 53.4 percent having received at least one dose of the vaccine. Meanwhile the state averaged 1,201 new cases last week. Over the weekend no new deaths were reported keeping the death toll at 7,471 lives lost to COVID-19.

Winnebago County reported 30 new COVID-19 cases Monday. Fond du Lac County had 39 new cases since Friday and will likely surpass 13,000 total cases today.  Thirty-five new cases were reported in Dodge County and 5 in Green Lake County. Waupaca County recorded 13 new cases and none were reported in Waushara County.
