Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says 2.8 million residents have now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or 48.1 percent of the population. The rate is better for adults at nearly 59 percent, but vaccinations have been slowing down. The latest test results showed 169 new cases of the coronavirus with the 7-day rolling average for new cases increasing slightly from 138 to 139 daily cases. Five more deaths were reported and 18 more people were hospitalized with the virus Wednesday.
Six new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Winnebago County Wednesday. One new case was recorded in Fond du Lac County and 5 new cases in Dodge County. Green Lake and Waushara counties had no new cases and Waupaca County had 2 new cases.
