25 June 2021 News

After 23 years working in Tobacco, Prevention and Control with the Fond du Lac County Health Department, Sandy Bernier will retire at the end of the month. She started working with the health department in 1998, as the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program Assistant working with youth and eventually took over as the program coordinator overseeing a multi-jurisdictional coalition. The Tobacco Prevention and Control work will continue with the new program coordinator Johanna Brotz a 2018 UW-Oshkosh graduate who has worked in public health for three years. Bernier says, “It has been a privilege and honor to work with many dedicated and committed coalition members who took an active role in decreasing the burden of tobacco in Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Waushara and Marquette counties.”
