Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services Wednesday reported a small increase in the number of new COVID-19 cases. The department recorded 102 new cases raising the 7-day average for new cases to 77 from 72 earlier this week. Eight more deaths were also reported putting the death toll since the health crisis began at 7,261 lives lost. Forty people were hospitalized with the coronavirus. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 116 COVID patients in hospitals statewide and 35 of them are in intensive care units.
Two new COVID-19 cases were reported in Winnebago County Wednesday. Fond du Lac County recorded 4 new cases and Dodge County 1 new case. No new cases were reported in Green Lake and Waushara counties and 3 new cases were recorded in Waupaca County.
