Gutierrez got off to a tough start, plunking Luis Urías with the first pitch of the game. Urías advanced to third on García’s two-out single and scored on a balk. But Gutierrez settled down from there. He got a standing ovation after inducing an inning-ending ground ball from García in the seventh.

With Aaron Rodgers missing from Packers OTAs and minicamp, Jordan Love has taken the bulk of quarterback reps the last few weeks. After struggling day one of minicamp, Love had an impressive day two. Without knowing what his role will be, Love is keeping a positive mindset amid the uncertainty. Love said he’s preparing as if he will be starting week one. He said he is “100%” ready if the opportunity presents itself. While Love hasn’t taken a meaningful snap in a Packers uniform, he said he is much more comfortable than he was his first season.
Love said he’s still working to better understand and take charge of the offense.
“Last year I wasn’t in that role, that was Aaron’s voice being hard but now I just have to be able to take that next step and take command of it and lead these guys,’ said Love.
When Love was asked about the communication between he and Rodgers, he said the two have a good relationship and that they spoke before Love arrived in Green Bay. Minicamp continues Thursday (today).
The Green Bay Packers have a new linebacker. The team announced Wednesday that they had signed De’Vondre Campbell. Campbell was at minicamp Wednesday. He’ll wear No. 59 for the Packers. He played there while Packers Head Coach Matt Lafleur was Atlanta’s quarterback coach. Campbell played his fifth season with the Arizona Cardinals. He started all 16 games and registered 99 tackles, 69 solo tackles, two sacks and seven tackles for a loss. Campbell has started 70 of 75 career games. He has a career 462 tackles, with 303 of them being solo tackles. Campbell has a career 25 tackles for a loss. He’s registered 7.5 sacks. Campbell has started all of his postseason games.
