Redgranite Sex Offender Sentence For Distributing Child Porn
A federal judge recently sentenced a 39-year-old Redgranite man to 262 months, nearly 22 years in prison, for distributing child pornography. Thomas Kerl was also sentenced to 25 years of extended supervision. Judge William Conley says beginning in 2018 Kerl began using multiple platforms to trade “extremely graphic images.” Kerl also engaged in disturbing chats about sexually assaulting children and admitted that if he had access to children, he would assault them. In Winnebago County in 2001 Kerl was convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting two young children. Judge Conley found Kerl to be a danger to the community and said a long sentence was necessary to protect the public.

Agnesian Walk In COVID 19 Vaccine Clinics
The president of Ripon Medical Center and Waupun Memorial Hospital says people are invited to take advantage of their walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics. The two hospitals are part of Agnesian HealthCare, a member of SSM Health. DeAnn Thurmer is the president of the two hospitals. She says their hospitals in Fond du Lac or St. Agnes Hospital, the Ripon Medical Center, and Waupun Memorial Hospital each offer at least one opportunity a week for people to receive the vaccine. Those walk-in clinics are Monday through Friday, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in Fond du Lac, Tuesdays in Ripon, and Thursday in Waupun. She says even children as young as 12 years old can receive the vaccine, but they will need a parent or guardian present or have a signed consent form. Thurmer says it is about getting as many people vaccinated against the coronavirus and you don’t have to have Agnesian HealthCare as a provider to receive the vaccine.
Ripon Students Offered Opportunity For COVID Vaccination
Students in the Ripon Area School District old enough to receive the COVID-19 vaccine were offered the opportunity last week to get their first dose of the vaccine. District Superintendent Mary Whitrock says the district partnered with the Fond du Lac County Health Department to offer the opportunity. She says students who did take advantage of the opportunity will have to get a second shot through the health department on June 12th. She says there are plenty of opportunities for anyone old enough to get the vaccine to get it including walk-in clinics at hospitals in Fond du Lac, Ripon and Waupun and more information is available on the health department’s website. Recently the state’s Department of Health Services expanded the eligibility to children as young as 12 years old, but they will need a parent or guardian present or have a consent form signed.
