Wisconsin had a higher number of new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, but continues to trend downward in key metrics. The 376 new coronavirus cases were 13.5 percent of the 2,776 test results that came back, but the 7-day average for new cases fell from 330 to 315. The state also had 8 more deaths leaving Wisconsin 2 deaths shy of 7,000 total lives lost since the pandemic began. Seventy-five people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 225 patients are being treated for COVID with 75 in intensive care units.

Nine new COVID-19 cases were reported in Winnebago County Tuesday. Three new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County confirmed 12 new cases. Green Lake and Marquette counties each reported 1 new case of the coronavirus. Waupaca County recorded 3 new cases and Waushara County had 5 new cases of the coronavirus.
