Monday the state reported fewer than 200 new COVID-19 cases for the second day in a row. That last time that happened was the end of May last year. The Department of Health Services says there were 151 new cases or 6.5 percent of the 2,332 test results that came back. There was 1 death putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 6,990 lives lost. Twenty-four people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 254 coronavirus patients in the state’s 136 hospitals with 87 in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported four new COVID-19 cases Monday. Thirteen new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County since last Friday and Dodge County had 5 new cases over that time span. No new cases were reported in Green Lake County yesterday and Marquette County had 1 new case. Waupaca County recorded 4 new cases and Waushara County had 3 new cases.
