Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services reported 481 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday or 12 percent of the 3,996 test results that came back. The average number of new cases has dropped daily for more than two weeks to 419 cases. Meanwhile after two straight days with no deaths reported from the coronavirus 13 deaths were recorded yesterday to push the death toll from the pandemic in the state to 6,971 lives lost. Ninety-five hospitalizations were also reported. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 316 people are hospitalized with COVID and 81 of those patients are in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 16 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday. Seventeen new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 11 new cases. Two new cases were recorded in Green Lake County and 1 new case in Marquette County. Waupaca and Waushara counties each reported 1 new case.
