After an off-day Monday, the Brewers open up a three-game series in Kansas City tonight against the Royals. Milwaukee salvaged the final game of a weekend series at home against the Atlanta Braves Sunday, narrowly escaping with a 10-9 win. Right-hander Brandon Woodruff (2-1 – 1:64 ERA ) starts for the Brewers against left-hander Kris Bubic (0-0 – 1:42 ERA). First pitch is at 7:10 and the game can be heard on AM 1100/98.3 FM, WISS.
In NL Central games on Monday the Cubs beat the Nationals 7-3 and the Giants downed the Reds 6-3. The Brewers trail the Cardinals by two games in the division, the Cubs are 2 ½ out, the Reds 3 and the Pirates 5 ½ games out.
