The state’s rolling 7-day average for new COVID-19 cases fell below 500 yesterday to 492 new daily cases. Meanwhile 558 new cases were reported or 10.3 percent of the 5,400 test results that came back. State health officials also reported 18 more deaths bringing the death toll from the coronavirus to 6,935 lives. The Department of Health Services also reports 82 more people were hospitalized with COVID. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 328 people are in state hospitals with the virus and 96 of those patients are in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 1 new COVID-19 case Wednesday. Fifteen new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 6 new cases. No new cases were reported in Green Lake, Marquette and Waushara counties while Waupaca County had 2 new cases.
