Waupun Man Arrested Following FDL County Chase

A 40-year-old Waupun man is facing multiple charges after leading Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies on a 13-mile chase early Friday morning. A deputy had tried to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle without registration plates or a temporary registration tag in the Town of Fond du Lac, but the vehicle took off from Hawes Court onto County Highway D. The pursuit went south onto Highway 151 and tire deflation devices at State Highway 26 were unsuccessful. The suspect’s vehicle stopped after having a mechanical problem and the driver was taken into custody. Waupun Police, the State Patrol and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the pursuit. No one was injured during the incident and no vehicles were damaged. The suspect faces operating after revocation, resisting an officer, bail jumping, and fleeing an officer charges. In addition he was wanted on three outstanding warrants.
