For the third straight day Wisconsin reported over 900 new COVID-19 cases. The 943 new cases Thursday were 16 percent of the 5,891 test results that came back. Sixty-one of the state’s 72 counties reported new cases of the coronavirus. The Department of Health Services also reported 3 more deaths to put the death toll since the pandemic began at 6,698 lives. Fifty-six people were hospitalized with the virus. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 293 COVID patients in state hospitals with 76 in intensive care units.
Winnebago County Thursday reported 24 new COVID-19 cases. Fond du Lac County had 10 new cases and Dodge County had 12 new cases. One new case was reported in both Green Lake and Waupaca counties while Marquette and Waushara counties had no new cases.
