Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says 25.2 percent of the state’s population is now fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. That amounts to more than 1.46 million people. In addition 2.2 million people have either started or completed their vaccinations, which is 38 percent of the population. Meanwhile on Wednesday the state again topped more than 900 new cases of the coronavirus with 929 people testing positive or 16 percent of the 5,805 test results that came back. The state also reported 5 more deaths bringing the death toll since the health crisis began to 6,695 people.
Winnebago County reported 31 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Fond du Lac and Dodge County both recorded 12 new cases. Green Lake and Marquette counties had 1 new case each. Three new cases of the coronavirus were reported in both Waupaca and Waushara counties.
