The state’s Department of Health Services Thursday reported the number of residents that have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine surpassed 2 million, but it also reported the number of new cases was up over 1,000. State health officials say 1.27 million people have completed their regimen of shots or nearly 22 percent of the state’s population. Meanwhile the 1,046 new coronavirus cases reported yesterday were nearly 18 percent of the 5,846 test results that came back. Fourteen new deaths were also reported to bring the death toll since the pandemic began to 6,667 deaths.
Winnebago County reported 36 new COVID-19 cases Thursday. Nine new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 10 new cases. No new cases were recorded in Green Lake County and Marquette County had 3 new cases. Waupaca County reported no new cases and Waushara County had 4 new cases.
