The state’s Department of Health Services said Thursday 31.1 percent of residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 18.5 percent are completely vaccinated. That breaks down to nearly 2.9 million residents that have gotten at least one shot or have completed their regimen of shots. For a third straight day state health officials reported over 500 new cases of the coronavirus. On Thursday 517 new cases or 11.2 percent of the 4,609 test results came back positive for the virus. Three more deaths were recorded putting the death toll since the health crisis began at 6,625 lives.
Winnebago County reported 19 new COVID-19 cases Thursday. Eight new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and no new cases were reported in Dodge and Waushara counties. Green Lake County recorded 2 new cases, Marquette County 1 new case, and Waupaca County had 3 new cases.
