State health officials say Wisconsin is approaching 3 million people who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or completed their regimen of shots. Just over 2.8 million have gotten at least one of the shots and over 1 million are now fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. The state’s Department of Health Services Wednesday reported 10 more deaths from the virus putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 6,622 lives. State health officials also reported 563 new cases yesterday, but that was out of 17,539 test results that came back which is just 3.2 percent of the results.
Winnebago County reported 13 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Fond du Lac County recorded 4 new cases and Dodge County had 2 new cases. Green Lake, Marquette and Waushara counties had no new cases and Waupaca County reported 3 new cases of the coronavirus.
