The state Department of Health Services anticipates the state hitting another milestone early this week in vaccinating people against the COVID-19 virus as nearly 1 million people have now completed their series of doses of vaccine. In addition nearly 1.7 million Wisconsin residents have had at least one dose of the vaccine. For the second time in 7 days Sunday the state had no new deaths from the coronavirus leaving the death toll at 6,598 lives. Meanwhile 428 new cases or 11 percent of the 3,920 test results came back positive for the virus Sunday.
Winnebago County reported 2 new COVID-19 cases Sunday. Dodge County has 1 new case. Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette and Waushara counties reported no new cases. Waupaca County reported 14 new cases.
