After a delay on releasing COVID-19 testing numbers for Tuesday state health officials yesterday reported 353 new cases on Tuesday and 776 new cases Wednesday. The new cases yesterday were 12.3 percent of the 6,290 test results that came back. The state also reported 11 deaths Tuesday and 10 more yesterday putting the death toll at 6,597 people. Seventy-two people were hospitalized yesterday. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 248 people are hospitalized with the coronavirus and 62 are in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 24 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Four new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 9 new cases. Green Lake and Marquette counties both reported 1 new case of the virus. Waupaca and Waushara counties had no new cases to report.
