Standoff Incident In Clintonville

Clintonville Police arrested a man Monday evening after a standoff incident in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue. Just after 4 pm Police got a call from the residence reporting blood in the residence and a person was throwing and breaking things. When police arrived they got children in the residence out safely. They encountered a man on a stairs bleeding, and armed with broken glass that retreated to the upstairs and claimed to have a gun he was going to use to kill them. The Waupaca County SWAT Team was brought in and shortly after they made entry the man and a woman came downstairs and surrendered. The man was checked over by EMS and was then taken to the Waupaca County Jail where he was booked on a parole warrant.
