Sturgeon Season Day 11

It was another slow day for sturgeon spearers on Lake Winnebago Tuesday. Day 11 of the season saw 31 lake sturgeon harvested bringing the total to 1,257 for the season and 1,621 on the Winnebago System. Water clarity remained at 12 feet on average around the lake. The largest fish taken on Lake Winnebago yesterday was by Daniel Preissner who brought in a nearly 98 pound fish that measured 73.9 inches in length. It was the second straight day that no fish weighing 100 pounds or greater were harvested on the Winnebago System.
