Ripon Gets New EMS Chief
24 February 2021 News
The Ripon Common Council learned Monday night who the city’s next EMS Chief is going to be. City Administrator Lori Rich was asked to give an update on the search for a new chief. She told them interviews had been conducted over the last two weeks and they had two really good internal candidates. Mitchell Matuszeski will succeed John Teachout as EMS Chief. Teachout retires Sunday and Matuszeski’s first day as the new EMS Chief will be on Monday. Ripon’s new EMS Chief is an EMT-paramedic and has been with Ripon Guardian Ambulance for two years, but also has six years of prior experience working in Portage as an EMT-paramedic. He currently lives in Beaver Dam, but plans to relocate his family to Ripon.
