Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says the state is nearing two milestones in vaccinating residents against COVID-19. The state is about 3,500 shy of having vaccinated 1 million people and under 100 people away from having completed 250,000 first and second round doses needed to protect against the coronavirus. As for new cases Tuesday there were 624 or 19.3 percent of the 3,218 test results that came back. Another 38 state residents died from the virus putting the death toll at 6,204 since the first deaths were reported last March.

Winnebago County reported 22 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and 2 deaths. Fond du Lac County recorded 11 new cases and Dodge County had 9 new cases. One new case was reported in Green Lake County and none in Marquette County. Waupaca County had 2 new cases and 1 death and the Waushara County Health Department says it had no new cases.
