Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says the state is closing in on administering its 1 millionth dose of COVID-19 vaccine. It’s less than 25,000 doses away from that milestone. Meanwhile new cases of the coronavirus continue to decline with 405 new cases Monday or 9.9 percent of the 4,100 test results that came back. Four deaths were reported bringing the death toll from the virus to 6,166 people. Thirty-eight more people were hospitalized with COVID-19. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says the number of hospitalizations increased to 412 Monday with 118 of those patients in intensive care.
Winnebago County reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 Monday. Fond du Lac County has reported 30 new cases since last Friday and Dodge County has had 12 new cases over that span of time. One new case was reported in Green Lake County and 2 in Marquette County. One new case was recorded in Waupaca County and the Waushara County Health Department reports 4 new cases since last Friday.
