The state’s Department of Health Services Sunday reported 671 people tested positive for the COVID-19 virus or 14.8 percent of the 4,527 test results that came back. That’s the lowest positivity percentage since December 26th. Two deaths were reported Sunday putting the death toll in the state at 6,054 deaths. The state surpassed 6,000 total deaths over the weekend. The number of people hospitalized Sunday was 61. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reported 570 coronavirus patients in the state’s 134 hospitals with 144 of those patients in Intensive Care.
Winnebago County reported 13 new COVID-19 cases Sunday and 2 deaths. Both Fond du Lac and Dodge counties each reported 8 new cases. No new cases were recorded in Green Lake County and Marquette County had 3 new cases. Waupaca and Waushara counties had three new coronavirus cases each.
