Teen Arrested Following Chase in FDL County

A Fond du Lac teen is facing felony fleeing charges after leading Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies and State Troopers on a three-mile chase on I-41 and into the City of Fond du Lac late Friday morning. It started out as a report of a reckless driver heading south on I-41 from the Winnebago County/Fond du Lac County line. The chase culminated when the 16-year-old driving the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve on Grove Street hit several small trees and shrubs, struck a curb, and went through a front yard and terrace. The driver and two 15-year-old passengers, one from Appleton and one from Fond du Lac were not injured. The driver was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail and the passengers were released to their parents.
