One day after reporting a single day record for COVID-19 deaths the state reported only one on Sunday. On Saturday 128 deaths were reported. Yesterday’s death brought the death toll from the pandemic in Wisconsin to 5,451 people. Sunday saw 1,606 new cases of the coronavirus or 24 percent of the 6,674 test results that came back. The state says 50 people were hospitalized yesterday with the total number of hospitalizations at 853 and the number of patients in ICU is at 207.
Winnebago County surpassed 16,000 total COVID-19 cases over the weekend. The 42 new cases the county had yesterday brought its total to 16,055. Fond du Lac County moved past 11,000 cases last Friday and had 9 new cases Sunday. Dodge County moved closer to 11,000 total cases with 20 new cases yesterday. Four new cases were reported in Green Lake County and Marquette County had 11 new cases. Waupaca County had 41 new cases and the Waushara County Health Department recorded 3 new cases.
