Names Released In Waushara County Fatal Accident

The Waushara County Sheriff’s office has released the names of the two drivers killed in a two-vehicle head-on crash on State Highway 21 on Saturday, January 9th. Sheriff Wally Zuehlke says the crash happened just east of County Road V and occurred when an eastbound vehicle passing a semi struck a westbound vehicle. The two drivers were 25-year-old Cole Hildebrand of Fremont and 46-year-old Harold Chase of Wautoma. Both died at the scene of the crash. A passenger in the westbound vehicle was flown to the UW-Hospital in Madison. The two traffic deaths are the first of the New Year for the county.
