Sheriff’s Ask For Calm
15 January 2021 News
Sheriff’s in Wisconsin are calling for calm as the nation braces for more protests following the one in Washington, D.C. last week protesting election results and the subsequent rioting that occurred. The Badger State Sheriff’s Association issued a statement Thursday saying they understand people voicing their concerns over the Presidential election results, but ask that people do it peacefully and respectfully. The statement also says people can get involved in the operations of our government by running for office, contacting those elected to office, and voicing concerns through peaceful demonstrations as protected by the first amendment. Association President Sheriff Nate Dreckman says if you step outside the law there will be consequences.
