Wisconsin saw a number of decreases in metrics for COVID-19 Sunday. State Department of Health Services officials say 1,832 people or 24.5 percent of the 7,462 recently tested came back positive for the coronavirus. It’s the fewest new cases reported since 1,407 were reported last Monday. Only 2 more deaths were reported the fewest since a single death on January 2nd. The state recorded 52 hospitalizations yesterday the fewest since 51 were reported last Monday. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reported 999 hospitalizations because of COVID the fewest since October 13th when there were 959 patients. Of the current patients 219 are in intensive care.
Winnebago County reported 38 new COVID-19 cases Sunday. Fond du Lac County recorded 48 new cases and Dodge County had 24 new cases. Eleven new cases were reported in Green Lake County and Marquette County had 3 new cases. Waupaca County had 13 new COVID cases yesterday and the Waushara County Health Department recorded 10 new cases.
