Ripon Man Barricades Himself In His Home After Threatening Others

16 December 2020 News

Ripon Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Sunset Avenue just after ten o’clock Tuesday morning for a complaint about a neighbor that was at the residence threatening the occupants. Before officers got there, a 41-year-old Ripon man had gone back to his residence and barricaded himself inside. Initial attempts at contacting the man were unsuccessful. After about 2 hours family members of the man were able to talk him into surrendering to officers on the scene. He was taken into custody without any injury to officers or the man. No weapons were involved in the incident, which happened near Murray Park Elementary School. Ripon Police were assisted by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department.
