Wisconsin set another new daily record for COVID-19 Tuesday with 104 deaths, topping the previous record of 92 set November 17th. That brings the death toll in the state since the pandemic began to 3,115. As for new cases 6,202 were reported or 37.6 percent of the 16,510 new test results that came back yesterday. The state’s Department of Health Services also reports 279 new hospitalizations, but the total number of hospitalizations dropped slightly to 1,986 with 436 patients in intensive care. A total of 363,973 coronavirus cases have been reported in the state since early February with 75,893 active cases.
Winnebago County Tuesday reported 122 new COVID-19 cases and 3 more deaths to put its total cases at 12,682 with 104 deaths. Fond du Lac County now has more than 8,000 total cases with 63 new cases and 4 more deaths pushing its total cases to 8,026 and death toll to 43. Dodge County recorded 73 new cases and four more deaths, which give it 7,840 total cases and 70 deaths. Four new cases were reported in Green Lake County, which has had 1,137 total cases and 5 deaths. Three new cases and 1 more death were recorded in Marquette County giving it 999 total cases with 13 deaths. Waupaca County reports 25 new cases and 6 additional deaths moving its total cases up to 3,624 and its death toll to 118 people. The Waushara County Health Department recorded 14 new cases to put its total cases at 1,705 with 7 deaths since the health crisis began.
