Wisconsin set another daily record for the number of new COVID-19 cases with 7,497 cases Thursday out of another record number of 22,408 test results that came back or 33.4 percent of those test results. The state is nearing 300,000 total cases since testing first began in early February. The total number of cases is 293,388. Fifty-eight new deaths were reported yesterday bringing the death toll in Wisconsin to 2,515 people. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports that there are 112 ICU beds open in the state’s 134 hospitals, which means over 92 percent of the ICU beds are being used.

Winnebago County reported 397 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and 5 new deaths to put its totals at 11,284 totals cases and 90 deaths. Fond du Lac County reported 275 new cases and 1 new death to give it 6,912 totals cases and 32 deaths. Dodge County recorded 157 new cases pushing its total cases to 6,163 with 51 deaths. Fifteen new cases were recorded in Green Lake County, which now has 992 total cases and 4 deaths. Fifteen new cases were also reported in Marquette County which has 881 total cases and 7 deaths. Waupaca County had 59 new cases and now has 3,280 total cases and 87 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department reported 21 new cases yesterday to give it 1,541 total cases and 6 deaths since the health crisis began.
