Congressman Grothman Seeking Another Term

Congressman Glenn Grothman is seeking a fourth term representing the 6th Congressional District. The Republican from Glenbeulah says COVID-19 and Policing are two issues that set apart this election from the one two years ago. He says there is a call for another stimulus bill, but he doesn’t believe people need another $1,200 stimulus check. “They want another $1,200 check, I’m not sure that’s necessary because a lot of people don’t need it, but the Democrats are holding out saying that $1,200 check should go to illegal immigrants I mean I think that is an extreme position.” He says Democrats also want to get rid of the photo ID requirement for voting and want to give Illinois money to help them with a budget shortfall caused because money wasn’t set aside for pensions. Grothman sees himself as an Independent Conservative. He’s being challenged by former State Senator Jessica King, a Democrat.
