Wisconsin surpassed another milestone in the COVID-19 pandemic Wednesday surpassing more than 2 million people that have been tested for the virus since early February. Meanwhile the number of people that tested positive yesterday was 3,815 or nearly 39 percent of the 9,818 test results that came back. The total number of positive test results since the outbreak began reached 210,126. State health officials also say 45 more people died of the coronavirus putting the death toll at 1,897 persons. Another 174 people were also hospitalized yesterday.
Winnebago County reported 73 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday giving it a total of 8,799 cases and 3 more deaths put that toll at 62 people. Fond du Lac County recorded another 141 cases giving it 4,654 total cases with 19 deaths. Dodge County reported 107 new cases and now has 4,158 total cases with 26 deaths. Ten more cases were recorded in Green Lake County to give it 751 cases with 3 deaths. Nine new cases in Marquette County push its total cases to 616 with 2 deaths. Waupaca County reported 59 new COVID cases, which gives it 2,511 total cases with 52 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department recorded 16 new cases and now has 1,025 total cases and 5 deaths since the health crisis began.
