The Green Bay Packers look to bounce back from their first loss when they visit the Houston Texans for the first time since 2012 on Sunday. The Packers will try to avoid losing two in a row for the first time since coach Matt LaFleur took over in 2019. Green Bay (4-1) is coming off a 38-10 loss to the Buccaneers last Sunday in Tampa Bay. Aaron Rodgers had an off day, throwing two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. The Packers led 10-0 after the first quarter but trailed at the half and the Buccaneers added to their lead in the second half. Rodgers and the Green Bay offensive line know they face the rush of DE J.J Watt and the rest of the Houston defense. On the injury front, left tackle David Bakhtiari, remained out with a chest injury. Other players who did not practice were Tyler Ervin (wrist), DL Tyler Lancaster (shoulder), safety Darnell Savage (quadriceps) and tight end Robert Tonyan (ankle). Houston (1-5) is coming off a tough road loss at Tennessee 42-36 in overtime. Quarterback Deshaun has thrown 13 touchdowns and five interceptions while running back David Johnson has rushed for 350 yards and four touchdowns. The receiving corps is led by Will Fuller, who’s averaging 16.3 yards per catch along with four touchdowns, Brandon Cooks and former Packer Randall Cobb. The pregame starts at 10:00 with the kickoff at noon and can be heard on 102.3, The Bug.
In Thursday Night Football the Eagles rallied with two late fourth quarter touchdowns to beat the New York Giants 22-21. Carson Wentz threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Boston Scott for the game winner. The Eagles improve to 2-4-1 while the Giants fall to 1-6.
The World Series resumes tonight after a day off on Thursday with the series tied a game each. Tampa Bay will start Charlie Morton against another right-hander Walker Buehler of the Dodgers. The Rays won Wednesday night after the Los Angeles on the Series opener on Tuesday. First pitch is at 7:08 CDT.
The Wisconsin Badgers open their season at home tonight against Illinois. Coach Paul Chryst and his Badgers are ranked 16th overall.

On the men’s PGA Tour Sebastian Munoz has a one-stroke lead after the first round of the ZOZO Championship at Sherwood Country Club in Sherwood Oaks, California. Munoz shot an 8-under 64 and leads Tyrrell Hatton and Justin Thomas by one-stroke. Five other golfers are two strokes back.
