Trick or Treating Recommendations

Some communities will be holding trick or treating hours this weekend. Those that are recommend taking precautions to avoid the spread of COVID-19. The Green Lake County Health Department is urging people to wear a face mask not just as part of a costume. Other tips include limiting the size of your group and the number of houses you visit. Practice social distancing when handing out or receiving candy, people are coming up with creative ways of doing this. Take precautions when handling candy by using hand sanitizer or washing your hands. Hand out candy outside your home so trick or treaters do not have to touch surfaces like doors or doorbells. It’s also recommended trick or treaters use hand sanitizer in-between house visits. Most important if your sick stay home.
