The Wisconsin Electronic Disease Surveillance System the state’s Department of Health Services uses to report COVID-19 numbers was back up on Monday reporting a total of 173,891 cases since the outbreak began. Since last Friday the state reported 7,705 new cases and 26 more deaths putting the death toll at 1,600 people. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 1,172 hospitalizations with 302 of those patients in Intensive Care Units.
Winnebago County has reported 593 new COVID-19 cases since last Friday giving it 7,607 total cases with 49 deaths. Fond du Lac County reported 129 new cases of the virus over the weekend putting its total cases at 3,543 with 17 deaths. Dodge County recorded 159 new cases and 1 new death giving it 3,050 total cases and 22 deaths. Green Lake County had 51 new cases over the weekend and now has 614 totals cases with 2 deaths. Thirty-eight new cases were reported in Marquette County, which has 517 total cases and 2 deaths. One-hundred and thirty-four new COVID cases and 6 new deaths were reported in Waupaca County over the weekend to put its total cases at 2,069 and its death toll at 35. The Waushara County Health Department reports 45 new cases since last Friday to give it 786 total cases and 3 deaths since the health crisis began.
