Wisconsin set yet another daily record for the number of new COVID-19 cases Thursday when nearly 25 percent of the 15,202 test results or 3,747 tests came back positive for the virus. It was the third straight day the state reported at least 3,000 new cases. The number of people diagnosed with the coronavirus since testing began in February has now reached 162,325 with 33,160 active cases. According to the Wisconsin Hospital Association 1,043 people are now hospitalized with COVID and 264 patients are in intensive care units. Seventeen more deaths were also reported bringing the death toll to 1,553 people.

Winnebago County reported 228 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and 2 more deaths putting its total cases at 6,831 cases with 48 deaths. Fond du Lac County recorded 119 new cases, which gives it 3,339 totals cases with 17 deaths. Dodge County had 73 new cases to give it 2,806 totals cases and 19 deaths. Fifteen new cases were reported in Green Lake County, which now has 536 totals cases and 2 deaths. Fifteen new cases were also recorded in Marquette County pushing its total cases to 470 with 2 deaths. Waupaca County picked up 46 new COVID cases and reported 1 new death yesterday. It has now had 1,883 totals cases and 29 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department reported 57 new cases giving it 710 totals cases and 3 deaths since the pandemic began.
