It was nearly all hands on deck at Packers practice Wednesday. Only cornerback Kevin King (quad) and RB/RS Tyler Ervin (wrist) sat out.

Receiver Davante Adams was full-go as he gets set to return from the hamstring injury that has caused him to sit out the last two and a half games. Before the bye, Adams was practicing in hopes of playing against the Falcons. But when he was told he wouldn’t be active, he tweeted the morning of the game that he was not allowed to play. The Packers won the game without him, just as they had done against the Saints, and 4 times in 2019. But Adams reiterated Wednesday he is itching to return Sunday in Tampa.  Adams said his “hamstring feels good.”

Meanwhile receiver Equanemous St. Brown and rookie linebacker Kamal Martin took part in their 2nd practice of the week on Wednesday. Both were placed on injured reserve with knee injuries, and now that they are practicing, the Packers have 3 weeks to activate them. If not, they will have to be placed on season-ending IR. It’s possible both could be ready to go Sunday against the Bucs.

There is no Thursday night football tonight.

In the NLCS Wednesday the Dodgers exploded in the first inning, scoring 11 runs and ended beating the Braves in Atlanta, 15-3.  Los Angeles hit five home runs on the night, three of those coming in the first inning.  The 11 runs scored set a post-season record for runs scored in an inning.  They also sent 14 batters to the plate tying a MLB postseason record in the first inning.  Dodgers left-hander Julio Urias improved to 3-0 this post season.  He gave up one run on three hits in five innings while striking out five and walking two. Braves right-hander Kyle Wright lasted just two-thirds of an inning giving up seven runs, all earned, on five hits. The two teams meet again tonight in Atlanta with the Braves leading two games to one. Dodgers left-handed ace Clayton Kershaw goes against Braves right-hander Bryse Wilson.

In the ALCS Houston staved off elimination by winning at home over Tampa Bay 4-3.  Game five is later this afternoon at Houston with the Rays leading three games to one.  George Springer and Jose Altuve hit homers and drove in two runs each to pace the Astros. Stater Zack Greinke went six innings to pick up the win.  He gave up two runs on five hits while striking out seven and walking one.  Rays starter Tyler Glasnow took the loss. He gave up all four runs on eight hits while striking out five and walking two.  The starting pitchers have not been announced.

March Madness is coming to Wisconsin twice in the next five years. The NCAA announced Wednesday that Fiserv Forum, home of the Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette University, would host first and second round games for the men’s basketball tournament in 2025. Those games will come just three years after the arena hosts tournament games in 2022. NCAA Tournament games have been held in Milwaukee several times in the past, most recently in 2017 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
