Murder In Oshkosh

Oshkosh Police took a 27-year-old man into custody for a shooting death in the 1700 block of Taft Avenue Saturday. Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex shortly after 4:30 am to check on the Welfare of a 36-year-old man and found Jarvis Gladney with a gunshot wound. They immediately began to perform life-saving measures. Gladney was taken to a local hospital where he died. The Oshkosh SWAT and Crisis Negotiation teams spent 6 hours negotiating with the suspect before they were able to get him to come out and safely take him into custody. He was questioned and later arrested for homicide.
