State health officials say 7 percent of the 9,429 test results they got back Wednesday tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. That translates to 663 more people who have contracted the coronavirus and gives the state 67,493 total cases since the outbreak began in early February. Of those 8,171 cases are still active. The state also reported 8 more deaths from COVID yesterday raising that toll to 1,060.
Winnebago County reported 16 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday giving it 1,309 total cases and 19 deaths. A dozen new cases were reported in Dodge County where there have been 967 cases and 5 deaths. Fond du Lac County reported 118 new cases last week and 13 yesterday putting its total at 829 cases with 9 deaths. One new case was reported in Green Lake County, which has had 65 cases. There was no change in Marquette County which has had 81 cases and 1 death. Waupaca County Public Health Services reported six new cases and has had 566 total cases and 16 deaths. Waushara County had no change. Its total COVID cases since the health crisis began is at 132 with 1 death.
