State health officials Tuesday reported another 12 deaths from the COVID-19 virus pushing the total since early February to 961 deaths. But there was a little good news too with the percentage of new cases dropping to 4 percent of the 18,138 test results that came back. The 728 new cases puts the state’s total since the outbreak began to 56,056 with 9,709 of those cases still active. Sixty-one of the state’s 72 counties reported new cases yesterday.
County health officials in Winnebago County reported 19 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday putting the county’s total cases at 1,082 with 18 deaths. Twenty-three new cases were reported in Dodge County, which has had 728 total cases and 5 deaths. Fond du Lac County recorded 11 new cases putting its total at 586 cases with 6 deaths. One new case in Green Lake County puts their total at 53 cases while Marquette County had no new cases remaining at 71 total cases with 1 death. Waupaca County Public Health Services reported 9 new cases of the coronavirus yesterday giving it a total of 409 cases with 15 deaths. Waushara County had no new cases to report giving it 108 cases since the health crisis began.
