Proclamation For Voluntary Masking To Be Considered

27 July 2020 News

The Ripon Common Council tonight will discuss a proposed proclamation from Mayor Ted Grant asking residents to voluntarily wear face masks in public to protect themselves and others from COVID-19. Some of the spaces suggested in the proclamation that people should wear masks include; grocery stores, pharmacies, business locations, parking lots, sidewalks, public buildings, and public transit. Also during the meeting the Council will consider approving a consent agenda that includes several certificates of appropriateness for improvements to businesses in the historic district including a Black Lives Matter mural on the outside wall of one of them. The meeting is at 7 pm in the Ripon City Hall Council Chambers.
