Highway 23 Multi Vehicle Crash
Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say only one person was injured in a five-vehicle crash on State Highway 23 east of Fond du Lac late Saturday morning. It began when an eastbound passenger car tried to pass several other vehicles, but encountered an westbound pickup truck. Trying to merge back into eastbound traffic the car struck another vehicle, which started a chain reaction crash. The only one injured was a 66-year-old Sheboygan man driving the westbound truck. He was flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center. The driver who started the accident turned around and drove west away from the scene. Authorities are looking for him. He was driving a white Chevy Malibu or Impala or light silver Nissan sedan, he was Hispanic or African-American and had black hair. Anyone with information about the suspect or suspect vehicle should call 920-929-3390 or the tip line at 920-906-4777.
Two Injured In Town Of Auburn Crash
Two people were seriously injured in a rollover accident on Double D Road and Lake Drive in Fond du Lac County’s Town of Auburn Saturday night. Sheriff’s investigators suspect speed and alcohol contributed to the accident, which occurred when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and went into a ditch. It struck a power pole and started on fire, but a witness quickly extinguished it. Twenty-eight-year-old Lisa Hogan of Oshkosh was driving the vehicle and 31-year-old Shane Vis of Campbellsport was riding with her. Both were taken to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Hogan was later flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center. She is facing possible charges and traffic violations.
